Your Camping Checklist For Your Hygiene and Personal Care Items

Your personal care camping checklist is a very easy and personal list...use what you normally like to use, with a few extra items thrown in to account for the fact that you are using a community bath house and will have to take everything with you from your campsite.

I have a toiletry bag I use to carry my items back and forth with me. It zips shut so nothing will fall out on the way, and has two hooks, one on the outside when zipped and one on the inside when opened, to hang over the door or wall while I am showering.

It has several compartments and holds full-sized bottles of my shampoo and conditioner, in addition to the rest of my personal care items. (I use it on regular trips as well where we are in a hotel or staying with someone, not just when camping)

I always keep it handy and fully stocked with everything I need...and some things I might need some of the time but not always...and when I get home, restock what I have used and put it away as is. The next time I go camping I just pull it out of the closet and throw it into my bag.

I also found some great over the door hooks that I keep in my toiletry bag. These are must-haves for me, and I have found that you can never have enough hooks. Most of the shower stalls only have one. I put the hooks over the wall or door, and then have an extra place to hang my towel and clean clothing.

Shower shoes are another absolute must when camping. Even though a shower may look clean, I like to protect my feet from anything that might be invisibly lurking there! With shower shoes nobody in my family has ever had a problem. Nothing special here....I just use waterproof flip-flops.

I pack everything, the toiletry bag, shower shoes, towel, and change of clothes, into a large tote bag to easily carry everything back and forth from the shower house.

This checklist tries to anticipate everything you might need and then some. Once again, only pack what you like to use. Modify the checklist according to your needs, adding other items you might like and deleting items you don't use, although the starred items are highly recommended.
