Camp Taylor, Columbia New Jersey

Lakota Wolf Preserve This wonderful family campground is located on 400 acres of wooded land. Lots are wooded, many with streams and close enough to services without being on top of each other. The site shares 10 acres with the Lakota Wolf Preserve home to 24 wolves of all kinds, bobcats and foxes. You can hike up to the preserve in 10 minutes and although it's extra, the tour is one of the best wildlife educational experiences I have had. They have a pond chock full of frogs with paddle boats and a swimming beach too. The camp store is really a Wolf Preserve gift store and another highlight, but for us it was all about the clean, wooded, quiet camping experience and we'd go back in a heartbeat! |
