Brown County State Park / Nashville Indiana

by Joseph G
(Indianapolis, Indiana)

Brown County SP is the closest thing we've found to a real getaway when it comes to camping in Indiana.

The huge park consist of almost 16,000 acres. When you enter the main gate crossing a small covered bridge, you quickly notice the vastness of the place. Once inside there is about a 10 minute drive to the campground, up steep hills, through densely wooded terrain. At some points there are overlooks with breathtaking views over miles of hills and forest. In the "fall season" it's even better.

The park has mostly everything campers and nature-lovers can imagine, even a hotel and restaurant for those who prefer the comfort of indoor amenities. If you enjoy camping, I highly recommend this park. Check it out!
