Ayr Campsite, St.Ives, Cornwall

by Mandy McIntosh
(Cheadle,Cheshire)

This campsite is situated on high ground with the most spectacular views across St. Ives. There is a children's playground with an old boat for the children to play in.

Best of all they have the most impressive shower and toilet facilities I have ever been in, heated with plenty of clean showers and toilets and soft background music and solar heated also. Plenty of mirrors and electric points for those who still like to bring their hair straighteners!!

We had a thoroughly great time there and would definitely recommend this site especially to anyone who loves surfing as the surfing beach is literally a 5 minute walk downhill.

Not really suited to anyone with walking disability as the hill on the way back is very steep. There is a lovely walk down the cliff side if you prefer as well.
